Just a quick update for all you racing fans.

Many of you enquire how the boys get on and so a quick update on the final positions now the season is at an end.

Between them the three riders finished with 7 top ten places in 5 different championships!  So very well done boys.

This was particularly good as all three of them began the season late in a some of the championships and for various reasons were not able to enter all of the meets.

Many of you know Adam as one of our technical bods here at Safelink and he himself had 4 top ten finishes.

3G Video has arrived!

Intratone have launched their 3G video panel. This panel is fitted with a 136 degree wide angle camera and will enable you to see who is at the door directly on your mobile phone. The phone needs to be video calling enabled. Those residents without this feature will still be able to receive audio calls on their mobile phone or land line.

All the Intratone panels come with access control fitted as standard. You have the choice to use it or not - but the access control system is perfect for residential situations and can be fully managed real time from the comfort of your office.

Iplus video - TCP IP technology for everyone .

Golmar have launched their IPlus IP video system which has been speciallydesigned for the domestic market and it has been well received not only in domestic situations but also in commercial situations, schools and universities, and in a well know Football Stadium!

The system is here and has been installed, tried and tested and works a dream.

So simple to install you can hardly believe it.

The system offers a beautifully slim panel with a choice between two versions - one with a handset and one without.

The panels are VR stainless steel and offer two options, pure traditional VR or VR with windows and a fingerprint proof finish.

Near Field technology for your access control!

Coming in 2012 near field enabled mobile phones will be able to activiate your access system if you install a near field technology proximity reader.

These readers are available NOW from Controlsoft. A number of different mobile phones will be enabled in 2012. If you are installing access control why not consider future proofing your system by installing a reader with near field technolgy.

There is a small additional cost but what a saving for the future!

One is a green surface mount Door Release button designed to match other Green door

release accessories.

The second item is their new all steel keypad. This keypad is simple to program and has 30 user

codes available. It come in both flush and surface mounted versions.

Mixed fortunes over the last two outings.

These were at Pembury in sunny Wales and at Brands Hatch.

The boys still managed a clutch of trophies between them 9 at Pembury and 9 again at Brands Hatch.

One of the three riders was off in Wales and was out for the Brands meeting with a damaged arm! The bike is now back together as is the rider. Other mishaps befell the two remaining riders at Brands. They had a great day on the Saturday but not so lucky on the Sunday - more damaged bikes but thankfully no broken bones.

Only two riders available again for this weekend meeting at Oulton park - so any of you guys out there that live in this neck of the woods - love to see you.

Final meeting of the season is at Mallory Park - again please drop in - if fact if we know you are coming - we may have some spare tickets just let us know.

Videx have now released the long awaited Digital GSM audio system.

The analogue system has been around and well tested for some time now but the new digital version allows the connection of up to 1000 apartments!

Available in two versions: with name scroll facility or with Alpha keys A-F

30 years on and still here!

1980-2010

Its our Birthday!  Today is the day - 3rd August 2010 - our 30th birthday.    

I can hardly believe it but it's true -  30 years ago today I visited Companies House to register Safelink Services ( a partnership). This was a time when all businesses had to be registered not just the LTD ones. Since then we have indeed transformed into Safelink Services Ltd and also transformed ourselves from an installation company into a distributor. Having been involved in  installation work that many years ago has given our team a good grounding in and knowledge of door entry systems and the door entry market. We bring this wealth of knowledge and experience to you our customers. And that's what makes us special!

Safelink are proud to announce that we have over this past year been sponsoring

Adam Palfreman on his Suzuki SV650.

He has been racing with the British Motorcyle Racing Club in both the Clubman Minitwin Championship and the Thunderbikes round.

This season has had it's highs and lows but many trophies have been won. Mid way through the season it became a three bike race for the championship and at one point Adam was only 18 points behind the leader. The final positions were slightly different but Adam finished the season as the runner up in the Minitwin Championships and eighth overall in the Thunderbikes. WELL DONE ADAM !

What's on for next year? - well televised rounds for a start. Adam is planning to run the SV again in the BCL Watches Minitwin's and Thunderbikes classes and possibly a CBR600RR in the Stock Sport 600 class. So look out for the Safelink logo out in front again!.
